Dave’s Five Fave Tailgate Foods

We’ve been having some awesome football weather lately, which means perfect tailgate weather.  No matter if you’re cheering for a high school, college, or NFL team, here are some of Dave’s favorite recipes for watch parties and tailgates that you can use this weekend while you root on your favorite team from the tailgate of your Ram Truck, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan, or Jeep Grand Cherokee!

1. Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Football and smokies, two things that go hand-in-hand.  The only thing that makes that dynamic duo better… BACON. We love this recipe from Spend With Pennies. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and salty!

2. Jalapeño Popper Football Cheese Ball

This one is awesome for those of you who love spicy food at your tailgate! It goes great with any kind of cracker, chip, or pretzel and the fact that it’s in the shape of a football couldn’t be any more perfect! Get the full recipe at Peas and Crayons.

3. Crockpot BBQ Wings

Ain’t no thang but a chicken wing! Did we mention these are made with only three, count ’em, THREE ingredients. Just pop them in the Crockpot the night before the big game and they’ll be all ready for tailgate time! Check out what you need at Intelligent Domestications.

4. Pizza Sliders

Everyone needs some carbs during a long day of tailgating. That’s why we love these super easy pizza sliders from Sugar Spice and Glitter that are just as good as they sound. You could even add any of your favorite pizza toppings!

5. Chicken and Waffle Sliders

This one is great for those earlier games when the tailgate begins a little bit earlier than usual.  The people over at Six Sisters Stuff even included an awesome buttermilk syrup recipe to dip them in! Happy tailgating, everyone!
